we teamed up with mcgarry bowen on this new anthem commercial for the wall street journal to accompany their new multimedia campaign. highlighting the new direction the paper is taking with color, images, and expanded editorial focus, the agency came up with the concept "LIVE IN THE KNOW." we used the masthead as the foundation for the spot. we made a conscious effort to find the right still images with which we could explore different types of animation, techniques, and edits. keeping the focus on lines like: "the real street journal," "the local street journal," etc. we came up with a visual language that conveys the right emotion.
